Undercurrent News reports that Dutch minister for fisheries, Carola Schouten, has said that she would be in favour of installing cameras on all fishing vessels deemed to be a risk for illegal practices, and not just those above a threshold length.
Her remarks at the European Parliament make the Netherlands the first EU Member State to announce such a position ahead of the AGRIFISH conclusions on the revision of the EU fisheries control system, anticipated for later this month.
